Rarely seen images of Britain have been plucked from the archives of the Press Association (PA) for an exhibition at St Pancras International Station in London starting next week.

The free show, which runs from 8-26 September, showcases key moments and heroes from more than a century of photography, according to PA.

Forty images from PA’s seven-million-strong archive will be displayed throughout the station.

A spokesman added: ‘Many will draw a smile or tell a story – they may even include familiar faces or places – but most have rarely been in seen in public before now.’

The exhibition marks the 140th anniversary of PA and St Pancras.
